CYTEC ANNOUNCES PRICE INCREASE FOR LIQUID COATING RESINS AND ADDITIVES PRODUCTS IN AMERICAS
West Paterson, NJ – July 3, 2008 – Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT) announced today a price increase of $0.10-$0.18 per pound on its amino crosslinking resins, $0.40 per pound on its benzoquanamine resins, and $0.03-$0.13 per pound on its other liquid coating resins and additives product lines. The increase applies to products sold in the Americas. Warehousing costs will also increase up to $0.02-$0.05 per pound. The price changes will be effective for shipments made on or after July 15, 2008 or as contracts allow.

This has become necessary to offset steadily increasing costs of raw materials, labor, energy, packaging and transportation.
