CYTEC TO ADJUST PRICING FOR MINERAL PROCESSING AND SOLVENT EXTRACTION PRODUCTS
Increase in prices to take effect August 1, 2008

West Paterson, NJ – July 3, 2008 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT) announced the implementation of a global price adjustment of 5 to 20 percent on all mining products used in mineral processing and solvent extraction, including AEROFROTH® frothing agents, OREPREP® frothing agents, AEROPHINE® promoter, SUPERFLOC® flocculants, AERODRI® surfactant, AEROFLOAT® flotation reagents, AERO® promoter, ACORGA® extraction reagents and CYANEX® solvent extraction reagent products. The adjustment, effective August 1, 2008, was implemented due to the additional escalation in the costs of raw materials, energy and transportation.
