Cytec Announces Price Increases on Powder Coating Resins and Related Additives in North and South America

West Paterson, NJ ― September 12, 2008 ― Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) announced today price increases of 3 to 6 percent for all of its CRYLCOAT® powder coating resins, and for its ADDITOL® additives and MODAFLOW® flow agents used in powder coating applications. The price increases will take effect on shipments in North and South America on or after September 15, 2008, or as contracts allow.

All of the increases are necessary to offset the cumulative effect of the rising costs of raw materials, energy, and transportation.
